Words to live by

by Chanel De Capite

Never underestimate the power of a simple smile.”

Chanel’s favorite TV show is Friends and her favorite movie is 80 Days Around the World.  Her favorite song is “Livin’ la Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin and her favorite book is If I Stay by Gayle Forman.  She is inspired by timeless classical musical productions because they transport a person to a simple and happy place on earth.  Chanel’s most treasured keepsake is her first pair of ballet pointe shoes.

Chanel’s favorite thing to do in the Royal City, besides the Hyack Festival, is performing in Massey Theatre with dance, choir and musical theatre.  The proudest moment in her life so far was reaching a high F note in her singing lessons.  If Chanel could trade places with anyone, it would be Jennifer Aniston because of her talented role-playing as an actress in movies and TV series.  Chanel believes she would make a good Hyack Ambassador because she values community spirit and tradition.
